Changing the user name for the ESPN account entails signing into the account and going to the profile. When in the profile, the user name can be changed. Some companies will require a change in billing information to effect the profile name change.
by deleting it [update] go to the ESPN login screen choose forgot username (your email will be requested) ESPN will send you a "Member Services" email with a link to choose the primary email of your choice deactivate your account from there!
You can't do it I believe. Making a new account would be the easiest thing to do. Contact ESPN Customer Care. I contacted them and they sent me an email to my email address. They can change it for you. They just did it for me. It is a really easy process.
