A lot of high school students are only 17-19 years old when they enter professional leagues. However, pro associations such as the NBA,NFL,NHL,or MLB don't have an age limit. It's all based on talent and fans (who buy the tickets). This is not quite true. In the NFL, 3 years must pass since your class graduated from high school, sp approximately 21. In the NBA is one year after your class graduated from high school. The above answers are accurate, however, it really depends on what sport you are talking about. There have been tennis professionals at the age of 16 or younger.
