How old do you have to be to sky dive in the UK?

With Parental Consent forms signed, you can start skydiving from the age of 16, or 18 without (self-signing). If you want to learn to skydive and get qualified, take a AFF course. If you want to do a no-stress one-off jump, do a tandem skydive.

The minimum age to do a skydive in the UK is 16 and this is set by the British Parachute Association. If you are aged 16 or 17, you will need a parental consent form signing by either a parent or a legal guardian. Once you reach the age of 18, you can self-declare yourself as fit to skydive.

If you are younger than 16, I would recommend an indoor skydiving session first. These vertical wind tunnels are at present located in Manchester, Bedford, Milton Keynes and Basingstoke.

There is no maximum age to Tandem skydiving, although if it is an Accelerated Freefall or Static Line course, the maximum age is 55.

At Skydive Hibaldstow, their oldest customer was in fact 93 years old and his first jump was into Arnham in WW2.

The youngest you can jump is 16, but you will need parental consent. If you do not have consent you must wait until you are 18.
