Yes! In fact, this may not be enough, depending on whether the dog also has time in a fenced yard or not. If the dog lives in an apartment or for whatever reason does not have a yard for exercise, (tying out on a leash does not count as exercise), then the dog MUST be walked, about 4 times a day, at least. Each walk doesn't have to be super long, but at least two of them should be long enough to tire the dog out.
If the dog has a fenced yard or fenced dog park to run around in and actually does run and play in that area, then the walks are more for socialization and training -- but at least 1 or 2 walks a day, still necessary.
Dogs need this walk time for exercise, socialization, bonding with the owner, etc.
It is absolutely necessary to their mental and physical health, and often for their continued "good behavior".

∙ 14y agoMy friend has a dog and she told me that dogs need to go for a walk once a day. If you cannot take her to walk, surely bring her in your backyard to play for a little bit. Dogs need free play time and they also need fresh air like us.cjdm4
