I live in the Midwest and play at several different schools in the area. At a very small Ballet school I make $18/hour. At a more prestigious school of the arts, I make $25/hour. Playing for our city's ballet company, I receive $30/hour. As I am good at what I do, I receive requests to play for visiting dance companies and guest master teachers. For those classes I receive $50/hour.
