Good question. What I remember about that night in 1974 was that Tom House, the Atlanta pitcher that caught Aaron's 715th in the bullpen, ran to home plate and gave the ball to Aaron as a throng of family and reporters and teammates were around him. I have heard nothing about that ball being sold.
