Alex Rodriguez set another record for Baseball's highest contract on November 15, 2007. The New York Yankees and Rodriguez agreed on the "basic framework" of a 10-year, $275 million contract that would have him playing until he is 42 over the course of 10-years with the New York Yankees.

A-Rod set the previous mark with his $252 million, 10-year deal with Texas in December 2000. The contract, finalized December 13, which includes various multimillion dollar incentives for breaking career home run milestones.

So far Rodriguez has received a salary of $27 million in 2008, $32 million in 2009 and 2010. He will receive $31 million this year, $29 million in 2012, $28 million in 2013, $25 million in 2014, $21 million in 2015 and $20 million in each of the final two years.
