there are 4 years in between the 'summer' Olympics, and then, 2 years later, the winter Olympics. e.g. the Olympics in 2008, the winter Olympics in 2010 and then the Olympics in 2012 and so-on.
28 ... the first modern Summer Olympics was in 1896 and the first Winter Olympics was in 1924.
28. The first modern Olympics was in Athens in 1896 and the first Winter Olympics was in Chamonix (France) in 1924.
The Olympic Games were suspended during the World Wars (in 1916, 1940 and 1944). They also were discontinued for many years between the ancient Olympics and the modern Olympics, which began in 1896.
the London Olympics 2012 was the 30th modern olympiad .
There is a four year interval between each Summer Olympics. 4 years.
the diffrence between modern and ancient olympics is that it was not as safe and many were killed in ancient olympics
The winter Olympics happens once every 4 years.4 years
The modern Olymplics began in 1896; therefore it has been running, intermittently, for 112 years.
Four years. 2016, 2020, 2024, 2028 etc.
there are lots of rules in the modern olympics
The Olympic games are held every four years.
4, The summer Olympics are held every leap year.
The Summer Olympic games are held every 4 years, in years evenly divisible by 4. The Winter Olympic Games are also held every 4 years, offset by 2 years from the Summer Games. So there is a two-year interval between any given Summer Olympics and the preceding or following Winter Games. The change to the schedule of the modern Olympics was made in 1994, so there were Winter Olympics in both 1992 and 1994. Previously they were held the same year as the Summer Olympics, beginning in 1924.
There is an Olympic games every two years. But it alternates between summer and winter Olympics.

it was 4 years
The first recorded Olympic games was in 776 BC in Olympia, Greece. Yet the first modern Olympics was in 1896. So its been going around for 116 years.
Four years make up an Olympiad, but, every two years there is an Olympics. What I mean about that is we just had the London 2012 Summer Olympics so two years later we will have the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia, then two years later we will have the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Gandea and so and so fourth. As you see there was a two year distance between the Summer and Winter Olympics, but there still was a four year distance between the summer Olympia's!!:)
