Fault (in tennis) describes a invalid serve. It is a fault if the serve fails to land in the receiver's service court; if the serve is made beyond the baseline or the wrong side of the center mark on the court. It also applies if the server misses the ball completely on a serve.

There is also Double fault which is two failed attempts in which the opponent receives the point.

And last there is a Foot Fault which is when the severs foot enters the court before the ball contacts the racket. It also applies if the servers foot is on the wrong side of the center mark or the server is running or walking during the serve.

A fault is when you serve the ball and either hit it out of bounds of the service box ( is made up of the singles boundary and the closest line that runs parallel with the net. There is a left and right service box that is divided by the line running down the center of the court) or when the ball hits the net (i think we know what a net is). You have two serves. If you miss both, it's called a double fault.

No. It is called a let, where basically the serve does not count and the it is replayed, no matter how many times a let is called. However, the ball has to land in the service box. Otherwise, it is a fault. The only exception to this rule is in mens collegiate tennis, where the let serve is played as any other serve, as long as it lands in the service box.

In tennis, a service is when one opponent hits the tennis ball over the net into the opposite box. It's how tennis players start the point. If you miss the first serve, you get to serve again, but if you miss that, the point is over. Your opponent won that point. If the ball hits the net before bouncing over, it is called a let.

As soon as the server deliberately throws the ball up to serve, the ball is in play.

So if you do not hit the ball or you do not serve within the rules of Table Tennis, the server loses the point.

So there is no limit to how many faults you can have in table tennis.
