Only countries participate in the Olympic Games (not religions), and the contestants themselves may come from any religious background. The contestants come from a very wide variety of countries in all continents so it is very possible that each of the main religions will be 'represented' so to speak at the Games in London this year. There may be minority religions, or branches of religions that are not present, however. It is highly likely, I would guess, that Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism and Buddhism will all be represented. Celebrities are not always open about their religion in the sense that they do not consistently advertise it. Since I am not an expert on each of the athletes, I would say that it is impossible to tell exactly how many religions will partake in the 2012 Olympics.
