You don't need any points to get a free throw. You get free throws when someone commits a shooting foul.
I don't even know what you're saying
To get two points you could shoot a basket because one basket equals two points. Or two free throws.
If you shot the ball from inside the arch, you will get 2 points, outside the arch, 3 points, and free throws for 1 point each.
Each free throw is worth one point.
A field goal in basketball is worth three points while a free throw is worth 1 point
If you shoot and make a basket inside the three point line or with your feet on the three point line it is worth two points. If you shoot and make a basket anywhere behind the three point line without your feet on the line it is worth three points. If you get fouled when you are shooting you go to the free throw line to shoot free throws. This is an uncontested, untimed shot that if you make it, it is worth one point.
The free throw line in basketball is 15 feet away from the hoop. It is also 12 foot from end to end. Free throws allow the team to score points with no opposition during the throw.
A free throw is worth one point per shot that you make. so say if you shoot 3 free throws but only make 1 it would be 1 point.
In basketball, the free throw line is the line where the person throws the ball or dumnk the ball for 3 points ... it works the same for a faul too
At the end of 4 quarters, the team that has scored the most points (baskets, free throws, ect.) wins the game.
not sure about college basketball, but the NBA it is 2 points per basket. if the shooter is fouled whilst making the shot he will then have the chance to make a free throw. if the ball goes in the basket then he takes 1 free-throw to make a total of 3 points. if the ball misses the basket then he takes 2 free-throws to make a total of 2 points.
yes, the weight of a basketball does affect free throws because while shooting a free throw you have a routine for every opportunity of shooting a free throw and if have a basketball that has different weight then your other basketball then you will end up short or long.
206 FREE THROWS
3 three throws = 9 points 3 free throws = 3 points
When a shot is worth 2 points which is all of the shots, except if you're behind the arc it's worth three and free throws are worth one.
you could play 21 , horse , 1 vs 1 , around the world , lightning. 21- 21 is a game where you and your person that your playing against try to get to 21 first . the person starts off the game with shooting a free throw... every free throw is 1 point . if they make it then they keep shooting free throws ; once they make 3 free throws in a row its 1 on 1 . if they make it its worth 2 points and they start over with the free throws. but if they miss while they are shooting free throws then the other person shoots it from where is lands and if they make it they get 2 points but if they miss the other person shoots it from where it lands. whoever makes it gets to shoot free throws and the game keeps going til you get to 21. if you go over then you have to go back to 16 .
Michael Jordan attempted 8, 772 free throws during his career in basketball. This is the 4th most free throws in basketball league history. Of the 8,772 shots, he made 7,327. This is a .835 percentage.
FTM = free throws made FTA = free throws attempted
