This varies by league. Many leagues do not have a roster maximum. Competitive high school leagues will have roster maximums around 25 players.
However, on the field at any time there can only be 9 defensive players, the same as Major League Baseball.
I am sure rules and protocols differ from school to school; however a simple answer would be:
10 Players Total (5 Players for Each Team), as this is the minimum number of players needed (physically) to play a Basketball game (according to the typical/widely adhered to rules).
The amount of players all depends on your high school. The amount of players playing is 9 but their is usually players on the bench. If you want an exact number 11-13 is usually the amount most teams have.
7 players are allowed on a high school basketball team
In MOST areas, there are not limits. For example a bigger school may have a 15 or 18 player limit
My school only take 13.
Nine players play on the field at a time, but a high school team may have anywhere from four to ten substitutions in case of injuries, insubordination, failing off the team, etc.
Each league (little league, high school, college) has its own limits as far as how many players can be on a team. In Major League Baseball, there are 25 players on a team.
It is a different number every year. It all depends on the talent level.
None, many players are drafted out of high school. The first overall pick this year(2008) was Tim Beckham out of a Georgia High School.
There are twelve players on the field in Canadian football. A typical high school team will have approximately 35 players.
There are thousands of high school soccer players in the United States of America. There are many more joining soccer every day.
Technically, you don't need any education beyond high school, many players are from foreign nations and have only high school educations. Many players do have some college experience, however, it is not required. Baseball is different than basketball and especially football in that there isn't a huge gap in physical development that must occur to become a professional. Baseball has a good minor league system to develop a lot of young players where college would train basketball and football players.
