To find a correct answer, you should take a survey of people who are not biased. ie: don't take a survey of your football team because they all must like sports, or a survey of your school's anti-sports club because they all hate sports.

Just go for a walk and ask random people on the street, or ring your neighbour's doorbells and see what their response is. As you go about your day, continue to ask more people what their favourite sport is. The more people you ask, the more accurate your results will be.
