There are many variables, wind, water, rigging, crew, size etc. A standard speed would be around 6 to 8 knots
20-30 knots is not unlikely and 55 knots is possible...
I learned to sail in a 7-foot long sailboat that regularly achieved 20 knots.
Depending on your skill level anywhere between 5 knots and 20 knots. For someone that is just starting i don't recommend over 11 knots.
Generally, 1-3 knots slower than the available wind.
10-15 knots in a good gust of wind
At 5 knots and going through the panama canal it would take around 67 days.
it depends on the type of sailboat, the wind strength
About 34.76 knots.
About 661.3 knots.
A rough estimate of hull speed in knots is 1.34 times the square root of the length at the waterline in feet. The Catalina 22 has a 19 foot waterline, leading to an estimated hull speed of 5.8 knots
32.4 knots
That equals 8.68976993 knots.
