Through the 2009 NFL draft, 26.

26 players from the University of Delaware have been drafted by NFL teams and 20 have played in at least one NFL game. The first Blue Hen drafted was G Bo Bogovich by the Washington Redskins in the 32nd round of the 1943 NFL draft.

Probably the most famous Blue Hen that played in the NFL was QB Rich Gannon who played for 17 seasons (Vikings, Chiefs, Redskins, Raiders) and was the starting QB for the Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII.

Current Blue Hens in the NFL include S Mike Adams of the Cleveland Browns and QB Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens. TE Robbie Agnone is on the practice squad of the New England Patriots.
