All depends on the club they support.
The sport that has the most fans is without a doubt, hockey. hockey is the most widely played sport in the world. Just about every country has a hockey team, and other than the U.S., most countries take hockey very seriously. Countries like Brazil, Italy, and Germany are huge hockey fanatics and have thousands and thousands of fans watching.
Soccer is the sport which gets coverage................. but it does not get most coverage as u think.......... it is shared equally with cricket....... besides,, cricket has fans world around while soccer fans are mainly concentrated in Europe and South America...............
Teams qualifiable for the UEFA (Europe) competitions total about 140 thousand players. There is no way of making an accurate count of how many people play soccer. There are billions of soccer fans.
If you mean America as in North and South America, then the sport would be soccer. If you mean America as in North America, then the sport would still be soccer. If you mean America as in the United States of America, then football (American Football) would be the answer.
Soccer fans.
Hundreds of millions of soccer fans. But they do not have a well-known team.
Soccer is very popular in Italy and there are many fans of the game
It allows the teams the chance to rest and create a new strategy. It also allows the fans a chance to buy food and drinks, and use the bathroom!
You shouldn't punish sports teams for their fans behavior because the fans are responsible for it, not the teams themselves. The teams can't help how a person feels about them, they just have to play to keep the fans. If the teams are punished for a fans behavior, then there would be even more trouble than there already was.

Because many soccer teams in other countries are very popular, so their fans want to support them. It's the same reason that we like for our football team to win.
