2 points in union and in league
In Australian rugby league, a try is worth 4 points, and a successful conversion following a try adds an additional 2 points, bringing the total to 6 points if both are scored.

A two point conversion is attempted after every time the team scores a try. I'm not a rugby expect, but in the normal league, there is 5-points awarded for a try, and an extra 2 if the conversion is scored, but in tournaments, I believe it is 4-points for a try and an extra 2 if the conversion is scored.~TS~
The scoring team is then to attempt a conversion. This is kicking the ball over the cross bar of the opposing team.
After a try is scored in rugby, the scoring team is awarded a conversion attempt. This allows them to kick the ball through the goalposts for an additional two points. If successful, the total points for the try and conversion would be five and seven points, respectively.
