The indianapolis colts
I think the AFC is going to win the Pro Bowl, because the AFC has two of the best NFL teams, the Colts and the Chargers. But the AFC could use a better defence. The AFC will have to bring there A-game to the Pro Bowl this weekend.
Prior to the NFL/AFL merger, the first AFL (AFC) coach to win a Super Bowl was Weeb Ewbank, New York Jets in Super Bowl III. Post merger (1970 season and after), the first AFC coach to win a Super Bowl was Don McCafferty of the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V. Interestingly enough, The Colts had moved from the NFC to the AFC and the Cowboys from the AFC to the NFC in the AFL/NFL merger.
The 2013 Indianapolis Colts finished the regular season with a record of 11-5, finishing 1st in the AFC South. They went 1-1 in the postseason, losing to the Patriots in the divisional playoffs.
The colts was 8 games.
When the NFL-AFL merger went into effect in 1970, three longtime NFL teams -- the Baltimore Colts, the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers -- joined the former AFL teams in the new American Football Conference. The Colts went on to win the AFC title and Super Bowl V.
