Assuming the battery has taken some charge and is still serviceable, no specific RPM is required, just normal operating speeds. As soon as you begin driving the vehicle more data is supplied to the on-board computer and adjustments are made. I would think a few minutes of idle, a few more of in town driving, and a few highway miles would be sufficient. If lost, reprogramming the time and radio stations will have to be done manually.

The system will need to be reset or repaired. To reset a original GM system start by using the remote lock and unlock the doors. Then have a repair shop scan the computer and see if it can be reset. If that does not work it will need to see a GM dealer or qualified repair person.

With the engine and ignition off push and hold in the odometer reset button. While holding that button in, turn on the ignition but do not start the engine. After about 5 seconds the light will go off and the maintenance required light will have been reset.
start explorer press setup when it comes to engine check push RESET it says new oil push and hold reset it busses and it is reset until next oil change
