Without on board oxygen, the limit is about 15,000 feet. With on board oxygen, jumpers can go to about 20,000 feet. With bail out oxygen bottles, the altitude is limited by the type of aircraft used. That depends on what type of parachute jump you are doing. If you are doing a demonstration jump into a football stadium, it can be as low as 1600ft. If you are doing a formation skydive, it can be as high as 15,000ft (without oxygen). During a formation skydive, a group of jumpers will freefall together with packed parachutes, only opening them later after a minute at a height of around 3,000ft.
