You will need a coach-by-side, I do believe. Left hook? How would you imagine/ can we start there? all boxing is a "motor skill" that means you are developing your dexterity with the amount of practice time you put in. For a good left hook, a coach will show you stance and possibly a little ball-of-foot pivot/ but, every left hook you throw will not be having a 'fancy' little -pivot- to it. Their also is the Double left hook and the tripple left hook. Good to practice in front of a mirror. good also to practice (with coaching, to begin) on a heavywt punching bag (and, they have various sz. hvywt punching bags, as it is..). But..it is only one punch. Often a left hook will come after a Jab. It also is a good finishing three punch combination - left Jab - right cross - left hook. You can do that same combination nicely once, twice, three times in a row. then semi circle in the ring/ get on your toes/ dance. Come down, fight standing in place. Throw punches. Put numbers to them if you like. Be "great" at what you do..("breathing technique" comes into this, too. And: Stamina is All-Important). --is this helpful--
