In classical Ballet, a turn or series of turns travelling 360 degrees on one leg. The non-supporting leg is usually bent with the foot touching the knee of the turning leg. Multiple pirouettes are often executed by ballerinas on pointe.
You usually bend your legs and push off the ground. While you are doing that, lift up a leg and do a 360 degrees turn. Make sure your foot doesn't mak a dirty mark on your tights, or you will be downgraded for that. Also, while you are turning, keep your head in one position, until you can't keep it there any longer, then flick your head around and look back in the right place.
Adding Onif you can seem to hold yourself up for that long, or you want to be able to do a triple pirouette, try doing sit-ups, lots and lots of them. If the sit ups hurt, dont let that stop you because dancing is all about learning to control your muscles. take this info and remember: If dancing were easy, it would be called football. no joke.
