In gymnatics you move your body tightly so it looks neat . You walk on your toes and hands down and slightly out to the side .
You need this so you are able to move your body and not injure yourself

you get body control from gymnastics by conditioning. i do gymnastics and i have been able to control my body better. i have been doin it for 5 years now and you do increse you body cotrol trust me.
You can move forwards, backwards, or sideways. Basically you can move in any direction you want. It all depends on what you are doing in gymnastics. For example you almost never move sideways on the beam.
