You have to either win or come 2nd in the championship to gaurantee yourself a place in the premier league, however if you come 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th you're automaticly entered in and have to win the play-offs, it is a cup with 4 teams in and the winner plays premier league football next season.

∙ 11y agoThe top 2 teams from championship division (2nd division) automatically qualifies for EPL, for 3rd spot, playoffs between 3rd to 6th teams are played with semifinal (2 legs (home and away)) and then final. Winner of the play-off gets chance to play in the EPL.
