You are going to see truly amazing flexibility in one day. It does not takes time to safely stretch the muscles (versus the tendons and ligaments which do not stretch that far naturally - only about 4% - and can be easily injured!) However, you should be able to tell an appreciable difference in your flexibility after a fairly intense yoga session. If you were going to try and go for maximum results I would suggest an hour session of a form of hot yoga (for example, a hot flow vinyasa class) followed by a massage therapy session.

Being that this category is more geared for gymnastics, most people are going to lean towards gymnastic-style stretching. The problem with this and trying to obtain maximum flexiability in a extremely short period of time is that they are apples and Oranges. Most gymnasts started when they were fairly young and as such, had a child's natural flexability. Their warm-up stretches are simply heating up muscles that have already achieved a certain limit of flexability. To someone without that level, doing those stretches and assuming the same results is simply asking for trouble. DO not get carried away, do yoga every hour and you will be able to do it in one day
