OK first, a grinding rail is best out of wood, especially if you are a beginner. What you need is:
1) 2x6x10 board
1) 2x4x10
About 14 wood screws (or nails but screws are better)
Lay the 2x6x10 on the ground, 6 in. side down.
Put on the 2x4x10 on the board. the 2 in. side on top of the 6in side of 2x6x10.
Put pressure on the board and nail or drill 7 nails or screws on each side (7 for good luck).
Put a little wax on top and ride!
If you don't know how to ride and you think you already know, you're wrong, but its very easy front-side board-slide is the best way to learn. If you're regular footed, just ride up slow on the right side of rail manual and set the board up there, make sure to keep pressure on your back foot. If you are goofy, do the same but opposite side of the board. Now get out there build the rail!
