In order to become a better Basketball shooter, it is very essential to follow these steps. I am a varsity player averaging 25.7 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Follow these steps and I guarentee that you will become good. These are the three P's. 1. Positon- This term means how to hold the ball. If you are a right-handed person place your right hand under the ball and the other hand on the left side like how a professional would shoot. If you are a left-handed person place your left hand under the ball and your other hand on the right side. This is positioning. 2. Power- Adjust your power so that you can make the shot. By doing this you increase the amount of swishes, which is when the ball goes through the hoop and touches only the net. In order to determine your average power, shoot five shots and see how you did. If you miss by a lot you need to control your power. 3. Presicion and Accuracy- Adjust your positioning so that if you close one of your eyes the ball is directly above the rim. Bend your arm and shoot. Dont shoot with too much power. If you are a backboard user aim for the box which is directly above the rim. always shoot high so that other defenders can't block you.
