Past ball, the player scores on a hit or on a sacrifice fly ball, tag up on a hard it fly ball in the out field, a delayed steal, etc.
just like baseball; hit the ball run to first, second, third, home to score
you have to get to home plate without the other team getting you out
In softball every time someone crosses home plate and they are safe, you get one run.
A sacrific is when a batter bunts to try to score the runner on third to score the winning run or tie the game.
You cannot score after the third out. But, you can score BEFORE the third out - but only if the runner touches home before the out is made AND the third out is not a force-out.

There are quite a few ways to score from 3rd base in softball: * You can steal * RBI * If the bases are loaded you can get walked in * If the bases are loaded the batter can get hit by pitch * If you are in 12u or about you can perform a delay steal

In softball a run is when you score.
well when someone hits the ball and gets on base... you will eventually make it around to third base (hopefully if you dont get out) then when u get a chance you run and touch home plate
By running around the bases and touching Home plate just like baseball
You score a home run by hitting the ball, it doesnt have to be far or hard, but you need to make it around all the bases and touch home plate before you get out. You can be walked, and score a HR by overthrows, fumbling around, etc.
