Players that apply for the All-Star game can decide whether they want to participate in the Home run Derby or not. If only 7/less batters want to participate, the derby would be cancelled. P.S: Most players think it's a waste of their energy and don't want to participate anymore

∙ 10y agoYou have to be in a charity like the Boys & Girls Club of America or something like that. Or you know someone within the MLB or host team. Also, you could be related to someone that works for a big sponsor like Chevrolet, Nike, Gatorade, or Budweiser.
