if you use a wieghted bat before u hit then u are actually doing more harm than good. because the weighted bat has to use the red muscle fibers in your arm ur bat speed is actually slower. In your muscle u have to types of fibers white and red, red is for endurance and white is for quik and fast motions. In a Baseball swing u have to swing quik rather than many times so swinging a weighted bat trains the wrong muscles and then when u get to the plate u use the wrong muscle fibers. Although it only effects about 1 mph on ur swing speed it still makes a difference
a swing is basically a pendulum, meaning it oscillates as simple harmonic motion. It is not much different from a mass on a string in other words
The child is using the principle of resonance. By pumping at the natural frequency of the swing, they are applying periodic impulses that add energy to the swing system, increasing its amplitude. This allows the child to swing higher and higher.
If you stop your baseball swing in the middle and the ball is not in the strike zone, an umpire will look at your wrists. If your wrists are "broken" it is a strike. That means the position of your wrists determine if you took a swing or not. If they are still in the same position as they normally are before you take a swing, you did not swing. If your wrists are in the position they would be in after you took a swing, you took a swing.
In cricket, Bernoulli's theorem can be applied to understand the physics of ball flight. It helps in analyzing the spin and swing of the ball, as well as the aerodynamics involved in delivering different types of balls such as in-swing, out-swing, or off-spin. Understanding Bernoulli's principle can also aid in predicting ball trajectories and optimizing bowling techniques.
Baseball caution:dont swing fully it messes up your swing
8mph
Resonance is the physics principle at play when pumping your legs in rhythm with the natural frequency of a swing. By applying a periodic force at the same frequency as the swing's natural frequency, you can increase the amplitude of the swing motion due to constructive interference of the forces.

Yes, pushing a child on a swing is an example of work in physics because it involves applying force over a distance to accomplish a task (moving the swing). This work is done against gravity and friction to overcome resistance and create motion.
Axes have a leverage system based on physics principles. The length of the handle affects the force applied to the blade, and the weight distribution affects the balance and efficiency of the swing. Understanding these physics concepts can help maximize the effectiveness of using an axe.
"swing away" is a baseball term used to tell batters to take a full swing at the ball. Batters about to swing away will not try to bunt or necessarily place the ball in any specific area to move a base runner around, but will try to drive the ball to their best advantage.
