The keys to becoming a stronger or better soccer player than you have before is by training techniques in which you are weak against, hiring a strong-willed coach that will try their best to give you new lessons, and playing such sports on a regular basis to "keep the flow going". Also, even off the field, you would have some tarining to do, such as getting a fair amount of sleep, eating healthy, and doing a regular excersise hour(s). However, even though it is important to do your very best, you must also show that you are having fun.
