One answer would be to use your shoulder pads to block the tackle. Lower your pads, bend your knees a little and then explode through the tackle. You probably have longer arms, too. Use that stiff arm to keep them from wrapping up and keep running by them.
Also, pick your knees up when you run. That will keep them from grabbing a foot.

If you have speed and good leg and arm strength, you can try at the Running Back position. You need to practice holding onto the ball, shedding tackles, and blocking for Quarterbacks. So what you don't lack in size, strength and speed will suffice.
