What is the value of a Honus Wagner Louisville Slugger bat with decal?

Depending on the Size, age, model, and condition a Honus Wagner Louisville Slugger Decal Bat from the 1905 -1916 era is worth about $1,000. -$5,000. Condition is not the only important with decal bats, it is everything. The decals are fairly common in beat up condition, and could sell as low as $75.-$100. I have seen a Honus Wagner Decal bat (Youth Model) in decent condition with 85% of the decal sell for $1,800. on eBay. They are rarely found in near mint condition, and a full size decal bat in this condition generally sell in excess of $5000. The age of the bat is important and I will leave a link below to assist you in dating the bat. If the center label reads JF Hillerich & Son Co. and TRADE MARK under the oval it dates the bat between 1897 - 1911. If it reads TRADE MARK REG US PAT OFF below the label 1911 -1916. However the bat cannot be dated before 1905. In 1905 Honus Wagner, signed a contract with Hillerich & Bradsby co. and became the first player ever to endorse a bat. His autograph was also the first to be used on a bat and the first known professional athlete endorsement of a retail product. For more information on vintage baseball bats see Related Links below. I have also added a picture of the decal.

What is the value of a 1949 NY Yankees world series autographed hillerich and bradsby co black bat includes joe dimaggio and casey stengel?

The World series "Black Bat" was given to participating players, and dignitaries from teams in the world series. They have facsimile signatures of the entire team in gold on a dark black ebony bat. Names in script for Hillerich & Bradsby endorsees and block letter for non endorsed players. "Black Bats" are highly sought after in excellent to near mint condition. Any grade lower will devalue the price considerably. A 1949 New York Yankees Black Bat is worth about $850.-$1,150.

What was the make and model of Mickey Mantle's bat?

Some of the baseball bats Mickey Mantle used included Louisville Slugger Models M110, K55, and P72. Hillerich & Bradsby began making K55 bats in the 1950's.The earlier H&B professional K55 Bats had K55 written on the knob. Louisville Slugger started putting model numbers on the end of the knob in 1943. If you have a Mickey Mantle Bat with K55 on the barrel you have a store model bat.

What is the value of a hillerich and bradsby co king of the field no 13 bat with league regulation engravement on the barrel?

The printing on your bat might be a bit worn and should read "Hillerich & Bradsby" the maker of Louisville Slugger bats. Before 1916 the company went by the name "J.F. Hillerich & Son co." so the bat you have that reads "Hillerich & Bradsby" should be dated between 1916-1920s The "J.F. Hillerich & Son" # 7 bat is dated before 1911. After 1911 they added "co." to the end of the name "J.F. Hillerich & Son" and I know of a King of the field #12 bat that dates to this 1911-1916 era. The bat might have had a decal on the barrel, and the price on a decal bat relies mainly on the condition of the decal. Because you thought the bat reads "Lerich & Bradsby" the bat might be in bad condition, and the decal might be totally worn off. Condition is important and if this is the case it will only sell at about 25% of the $200.-$275. price that the bat might be worth, if it had a full decal. The #12 bat I mentioned above sold for $200. with 70% of the original decal intact. Either way it sounds like you have a nice 1916/1920s era store model bat.

What is the value of a Hillerich and Bradsby Ted Williams number 9 baseball bat worth?

$1,200.

What is a bat with only a 40 in the oval worth?

More information would be needed to help you out. The designation 40 was a secondary line of retail store model bats of the Hillerich & Bradsby co. that started production of this model around 1916. The dating of the bat is one of the most important factors on value along with condition. Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Louisville Slugger has used different oval center brands in their history. By identifying the center label, trade marks, and patens you can narrow down the year to what era the bat was made. Your bat might have also had a decal on it, and would explain why there is no markings on the barrel. Vintage decal bats have a high collectors value but, without the decal very low.

How much is the Hillerich Bradsby Co Henry Aaron little league baseball bat no J2?

A Hank Aaron J2 H&B Decal Bat is worth between $200.-$400. in excellent to near/mint condition. What is the signature on a Hillerich and Bradsby Louisville Slugger number 40 bat?

Louisville Slugger 40 ModelThe model 40 was a secondary line of autograph models offered by Louisville Slugger, and was a very popular model from the 1916 -1929 era. If you have a 40 model it might have the initials of the player following the number 40. For example a 40 B.R. would be a Babe Ruth bat. If the bat is in bad condition it is possible that the signature wore off. It will then have very little collectors value. This bat could have also been a decal bat, and it wore off. The decal would have been on the barrel, and this would also explain why you can't find the signature. With decal bats the bulk of the value relies on the condition of the decal, and again if the decal has worn off would have very little collectors value.

How much is your Joe Dimaggio Bat worth It says at top Hillerich Bradsby Co. then NO J2 then in middle HB then MADE IN USA then Louisville KY and some markings then Joe Dimaggio LL with pic of him?

What does a 40 br louisville bat mean when it has a 36 on the bottom?

Louisville Slugger 40BR Babe Ruth decal batThe Louisville Slugger bat you have 40B.R. would be a A Babe Ruth (B.R.) model. The designation 40 BR was a secondary line of retail store model bats but some were made with a decal on the barrel and you did not mention this, nor did you mention his name being on the barrel if you had a signature model bat. Because you did not mention that the bat has anything on the barrel I believe you have a decal bat without the decal, which has worn away. With a decal bat the bulk of the value will rely on the condition of the decal and the percentage that is left. A bat with 80-90 percent of the decal could sell in the $1,000. price range and upwards to the $4,000. range. Without the decal it will have a very low value. Maybe in the $50. price range. The decal is everything. The 36 on the knob indicates that the bat measures 36 inches.

How old is your Louisville slugger model 40 TC?

The designation 40 TC (Ty Cobb) was a secondary line of retail store model bats. Because you didn't mention Ty Cobb as the player endorsement I suspect you might have a decal bat, and the decal wore off. Condition of the decal is not the only important with decal bats, it is everything. The decals are fairly common in beat up condition, and without the decal the value will be reduced significantly. The dating of the bat is one of the most important factors on value along with condition. Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Louisville Slugger has used different oval center brands in their history. By identifying the center label, trade marks, and patens you can narrow down the year to what era the bat was made. For example: a bat made between 1916 - 1929 will have HILLERERICH & BRADSBY Co in the center label as opposed to J.F. HILLERERICH & SON Co as the bats made before. TRADE MARK REG US PAT OFF appears below the oval and changed to TRADE MARK REG in 1930.

What is a Lou gehrig hillerich and bradsby bat worth40?

Lou Gehrig Hillerich & Bradsby 40The designation 40 is a secondary line of retail store model bats sold by Hillerich & Bradsby. In general a Lou Gehrig store model bat could be worth between $200. -$400. Besides condition there are many factors that will effect the price more or less. Baseball bats closest to the players size and model number that was used during his playing days will sell at a higher price. Decal bats are very desirable and could sell in the $1,000.'sThe dating of the bat is one of the most important factors on value along with condition. Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Louisville Slugger has used different oval center brands in their history. By identifying the center label, trade marks, and patens you can narrow down the year to what era the bat was made.
