The last time the Montreal Canadiens reached the Eastern Conference Final was in 2021. They advanced to this stage after defeating the Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the playoffs. Ultimately, the Canadiens went on to compete in the Stanley Cup Final that year but lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
