Skiing originally started as people using some pieces of wood as 'snow shoes' to move around on snow. Eventually somebody realized, that longer the 'shoe'/'ski' was, better it would carry you on snow. The oldest skis found to date are about 3000 year old, so they have been around for a while.
At some point, the shoe evolved into a ski, so that you could ski down hills and glide on snow easier. The scandinavians used these skis for moving around, but also for hunting.

No, not that there has ever been anything that says they get married.
Ski jumping has been a Winter Olympics sport since the first ever Winter Olympics in 1924.
The oldest sport ever created is unknown, but the oldest sport ever recorded was boxing. The Epic of Gilgamesh gives one of the first historical records of sport with Gilgamesh engaging in a form of belt wrestling with Enkidu. It has also been traced back to ancient Sumer. Another theory was running was the first sport ever played as well, but there is no clear evidence for either of these theories.
The first ever sport played by humans is believed to be wrestling.
