A computer is a very smart so it is working
The possible cause is that the light bulbs have burned out. You have to remove the entire dash facing to access the computer. The facing is removed by gently pulling on it. It will pop off and allow access to the screws holding the trip computer in place. Remove the trip computer carefully and remove the bulbs by turning them out. Hope this helps

If your speedometer has stopped working just put the key in the off position and hold down the trip odometer button until you see some codes come on the odometer. That should reset your speedometer. The trip odometer button on a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan SE model is located on the dash near the speedometer. It is held down for 5 seconds to reset the trip to zero.
it can carry 15Amps of load. Above this, it is liable to melt (fuse) or trip (breaker).
Hold the trip button down for 5 seconds and kilometers will switch to miles along with Celsius to Fahrenheit on trip computer display.
The load exceeds the limit of the breaker or fuse. For example a 20 amp breaker on a 120 volt circuit will handle 2400 watts. Exceed that wattage and the breaker will trip or the fuse will blow.

If a person recently changed the speed sensor in a 1990 Dodge B-250 Van and the trip meter and odometer do not work, there could be a fuse that needs to be replaced. The computer might also have to be reset to allow for the odometer and trip meter to work.
The fitted CD player has a CAN-Bus interface built in for remote control and speed volume adjust. If a third party CD/Radio is fitted, these functions are lost, along with the trip computer. It will not damage the trip computer.
Push the pin on the odometer in and hold set to trip record first
