1.The Flat Serve
Speed of the serve gives the opponent less reacting time, wins easy points and easy to learn
Disadvantages:
Harder for shorter people, percentage of in play serves is low, and if it is hit by opponent they will return with their force and yours combined.
2. Slice Serve
Ball bounces low, use the spin to throw off opponent, easy to learn, and percentage is high.
Disadvantages:
Its very basic. Most opponents will have had practiced on how to return with this serve.
3. Kick Serve
Ball bounces high, opposite of where the ball met the floor, hard to attack, and easy to use against less skilled and trained players.
Disadvantages:
hard to learn and if the opponent hits the ball off the rise it will take the effectiveness of the serve not allowing the ball to go far in any direction.
4. Topspin Serve
Bounces high, great consistency, easy to learn, and hard to attack.
Disadvantages:
Easy to hit back.
