The players of the team in the field may play wherever they choose. The coach may position his players anywhere on the field. If the coach does position his outfielders closer to the infield he may want to have his pitcher throw his pitches low in the strike zone to increase the chance of a ground ball being hit.
Umm Yea really anybody that's playing deffense during that inning can catch an infield fly hell even a center feilder could catch an infield fly if he's fast enough

Fielding practice, I believe. Also, possibly, a way of showing off a little for the fans. I believe that it's an age old tradition meant to keep the fielders' arms warm during the middle of the game.
During an infield choice, the at-bat is counted and the hitter is not given a hit, nor does it increase their On-Base Percentage.
Bonds has never played an infield position during his time in MLB. He played 2,715 games in left field, 171 games in center field, 1 game in right field, and 39 games as designated hitter.
Im not sure if this is in the book because I could not see it. But in our little league the manager is allowed to have the infield players on the mound. If the outfielders come in to the meeting the team must be off the mound. Also you are only allowed to have one meeting per inning that has more players than just your pitcher/catcherAnswer:In MLB there is no rules that state how many players may be involved in a meeting on the mound, however, the thought of in MLB bringing outfielders in to discuss defensive strategy seems a little excessive considering they are all professionals and most defensive strategies wouldn't involve outfielders. Now the answer above, if you are referencing a MLB rules, the coaching staff may visit the mound only once an inning unless due to injury that the trainer accompanies you with and no strategy talk can take place (no matter who is in that meeting), the 2nd visit must include a pitching change
There were many candidates for the title during the 2012 season, including outfielders Angel Pagan and Gregor Blanco and shortstop Brandon Crawford.
