Can the ball hit the white line in the table tennis Olympics?

In Table Tennis, as long as the ball touches the table, it is counted, the markings aren't important.

What is a pool technique in which you imagine a ball making contact such that a line going through the center of the object ball goes through the center of the cue ball?

That is called the Ghost Ball method of aiming.

Where do you measure the one yard hash mark relating to the goal line at the front back or the middle?

I'm fairly certain that the front nose of the ball should just be touching the yard line. The center usually places the back tip to the yard line (moving the ball forward). Placing the ball behind the line will assure that the ball will be in the right place when the center does this.

When serving in tennis can the ball go off the sides of the table?

If you are playing singles in table tennis, the ball can hit any part of your opponent's half of the table after passing over the net. As long as the ball hits the playing surface, the service will be legal. The white lines are part of the playing surface. However, if the ball touches the net during service, before touching the playing surface, the service must be replayed. But if you're playing doubles, the service must only touch the right half court. The only instance where the ball must go between your opponents corners of the table is if the receiver is a wheelchair user, then the service must exit between the two corners on his side.

Is it true that table tennis has to hit both sides of the table?

To serve you have to toss the ball in the air without concealing the ball from sight, and as the ball is falling you hit the ball onto your side of the table so that it then bounces onto your opponent's side. Make sure you hit the ball behind the line of the end of the table. There are many variations of spin, speed, and placement.

Is the white side lines on a ping pong table out of bounds?

Yes. The entire surface of the table is in-bounds.

Where the dot on pool table is placed?

The dot is halfway between the second set of diamonds (from the end) on the long sides of the table. The "dot", or "spot" as it is more commonly called, goes on the imaginary "foot string", and is where the balls are typically racked. You can see a diagram explaining this in the Related links section, below.

Who snaps the ball to the Quarterback?

The center snaps the ball to the quarterback 99.9% of the time. The only time this differs is if the team is incorporating a trick play and I have seen a guard (the position player on the offensive line on either side of the center).

What is ghost ball in pool?

A teaching method. For newer pool players, it can be difficult to determine where to aim to have the cue ball strike the object ball at anything other than a straight shot. The most common method taught is to use a "ghost ball". This method requires you to first line the shot up, standing behind the object ball so that the pocket or point you want the object bakk to hit is directly in front and in line with you. You now imagine a pool ball is laying right there immediately next to the object ball. For the first few times, the instuctor will make a mark on the table on this line, 1 1/8 inches from the object ball. This is the center of your ghost ball. Now, you move over to the cue ball and aim at the center of the ghost ball, imagining that a ball is there and you want your cue ball to go exactly where it is. You make the shot, the cue ball goes to exactly where the ghost ball was, and your object ball goes exactly where it should go! Easy! After a few practice shots, maybe even a few dozen, this can be done without marking the table with chalk.

Where is the Headstring in Pool?

The head string is a line across the table at the 1/4 point. The center of this line is where the head spot is located. For an 8' x 4' table, the head string is 2' from the head end of the table.

What is a center line in volleyball?

CROSSING CENTER LINE: During play, any part of a player's body may touch the center line, and, in addition, only his/her foot or feet may contact the playing area on the opposite side of the center line providing that some part of each encroaching foot remains on or above the center line at the time of such contact. Any part of a player's body may be in the air below the net and beyond the center line if he does not interfere with the opponent's play by touching the ball or an opponent. A player may reach under the net to retrieve a ball that is in play by their team. The spiker's motion may legally carry his/her hand over the net on the follow-through provided that contact is made with the ball when at least a portion of the ball is directly above the net or it is clearly on his side of the net.
