recumbent bikes do allow you to lose weight if you stick to a diet as well. Just remember it can be benefical to do multiple workouts.
Most will not allow that but check with the rules of each park.

Women's bikes are shaped differently from men's bikes to accommodate the average differences in body proportions between men and women. Women's bikes typically have a lower top tube to allow for easier mounting and dismounting, as well as a shorter reach to the handlebars to better fit a woman's typically shorter torso.
Personally i like Diamondback BMX's more. but in general they're both pretty good bikes.
