Yes, you should practice, practice, practice. If you can stay in one position for 40 hours and hold your airsoft gun to the left, you will learn even faster and military snipers will be jealous of your mad skills.

It depends on the type of area you play on. If you like CQB (close quarters combat) or medium-sized areas, you should buy an airsoft AEG. However, if you prefer playing in fields or forests, then you should go for a sniper rifle. It also depends on your type of play: if you're more of the spray n' pray type, you should go for an AEG. If you're more of the one shot one kill kind, then you should go for a sniper rifle. Also, sniper rifles tend to be more reliable, since no batteries or gas are needed. But sniping is not like the movies or real life airsoft snipers are NOT more accurate than an aeg and needs to be upgraded out of the box. Generally being a sniper would require a gun of at $500+ upgraded if you can't save up for this then you don't have the patience of a sniper anyways. Or, I would buy the UTG Shadow Ops Type 96. ( See the link bellow ) It is the opposite of what this person above is saying. It's cheap, it's affordable at $130.00 + S&H, and is shooting hot right out of the box at 450-530 Fps. (I chronoed this with .20g and .25g) This gun requires no modification. The scope option you can get with it is very nice. This gun is extremely accurate and can hit another player at 250 feet with ease. I would get a sniper because it is cheaper than any AEG.
