There are things you can do but unless you are very good with small, fragile parts, and good at finding them when they go flying away, DON'T TRY IT. So, after you've tried it all and failed, go to Brownells and buy replacement parts to put it back to the way it was. Having said all that, and since there are no after market triggers that I am aware of, I'm sure you are going to try it anyway. I suggest you follow the advice from this blog link listed below on this very topic. http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/rimfires/569-marlin-7000-trigger-fix.html They are great, accurate rifles and it's a shame that no one builds a trigger for them.
yes the Marlin 7000t was a target version that came with a laminate wood stock.The stock 7000 came only with synthetic stocks.
