Just follow a few rules. The 2 of 3 rule. Only 2 pieces of your suit, shirt and tie should have a pattern. Then secondly make sure the patterns are not similar and they should compliment each other. Me personally I like a light pinstripe with a check shirt and solid tie. It is a bold look and you will stand out.

Why wouldn't it suit you? Obviously a light coloured shirt is a must. You could try a white shirt with perhaps a pink tie or maybe even a navy tie that matches the suit. If you get the three together and look at them, you will know if they go or not. Of course, if you are flamboyant you can go crazy. I was thinking about a light blue shirt? Yes, a light blue shirt would go well, as long as it is a very light blue, almost like a pastel blue.
