of course!
As of the 2007-08 season, that would be Wayne Gretzky who scored 92 goals in the 1981-82 season.
Muhammad Ali AND Wayne Gretzky. They both are extremely well known athletes across the globe.
Yes, Mike Myers, Avril Lavigne, and Wayne Gretzky are all Canadians. Mike Myers is a well-known actor and comedian from Scarborough, Ontario. Avril Lavigne is a pop-rock singer-songwriter from Belleville, Ontario, and Wayne Gretzky is a legendary ice hockey player, often regarded as one of the greatest of all time, hailing from Brantford, Ontario.
Wayne Gretzky. (He has the most career goals, as well as the most career points.) He finished his career with a total of 2,857
Well basically when he was in school he would always practice before and after school. And he also has ALOT of skill
It is hard to pick just one player who is the best hockey player in history because that is an opinion. But Wayne Gretzky is probably the most well know/greatest holding the most records in the NHL of any player. Other top players were Bobby Orr, Mario Lemieux, Gordie Howe and goalie Terry Sawchuck.
Quite simply he saved hockey in the USA. If he hadn't gone to LA, that franchise would have died as well as other teams that were on the verge of collapsing He brought excitement back to New York as well.

Wayne Gretzky was never drafted into the NHL. In 1978 he was signed to the Indianapiolas Racers of the WHA (World Hockey Assosication). He was soon after traded to the Edmonton Oilers, which were then also part of the WHA. In 1979, the WHA folded and the Oilers transferred to the NHL. Most players were sent into the entry draft, but due to a specialty in his contract, Gretzky enjoyed the luxury of staying with the Oilers. Gretzky was also never drafted into the WHA. The NHL regulations say no team can sign a player under 20 years old. The WHA allowed this, so Gretzky just signed with the Racers instead of being drafted.
It's worth a few dollars, if someone wants to pay it. Because no Racers cards of Gretzky were produced in the 1970s. There's a "National Sports Card" card that was mass-produced in the early 1990s, and some crooked dealers tried to sell it as a "1978 rookie." It's not. Gretzky's best cards are the 1979-80 Topps and OPC cards (OPC is valued higher), as well as an oversized 1979 Sportscaster card that's pretty sweet.
Well according to my Becket sports card pricing book it costs $250.00 to $550.00!
