well, i'd say 6 more teams, because, Toronto can easily support a 2nd team, Hamilton might be small but it could probably support a team, Halifax could probably support a team, because of where they are, Quebec City could support a team, when thier stadium is complete, and Vancouver and Montreal could also support a second team each, not saying they will, but it is possible. there you go... They didn't, they relocated to Winnipeg, and became the Winnipeg Jets. The team suffered financial losses, and ownership struggles, and made the playoffs just once in 11 seasons. Also, Winnipeg was a better market for an NHL team.
