It depends on the vehicle, some yes, some no.
do you want to remove the actual studs or remove the lug nuts? the lug nuts may have left hand thread which means they go clockwise to loosen if you mean remove actual studs, u need to remove wheel. the studs will knock out with a hammer. you will need to replace with new ones

Remove axle and bring to a auto parts/machine shop Remove brake drum Axle should be held in place by 4 bolts accessible through a hole Remove 4 bolts and axle should slide out after removing the wheel and the brake drum if you are planning on using your old studs again here is what i do.take a wheel nut and flushing it on the stud. give it a good hit with a hammer.it should back out .they are held in place on a small spline so as not to spin when you are tighening the tire .if you are replacing all 5 then a good smack with a hammer should do.when installing the new studs tighten the new stud down drawing them in flush to the back of the hub.make sure they are in fully before replacing the drum and wheel.not really a bad job.have fun
remove wheels from vehicle.remove 2 bolts, securing brake caliper. remove large nut that secures bearing on axle. remove bearing and rotorinstall new inner bearing and seal on new rotot.install new rotor on axle shaft. intall new outer bearinginstall large washer and axle nutinstall new brake pads in caliper.install caliper.replace wheelcontinue same method on all wheels.

remove axle nut in center of wheel with a 32 milimeter socket.then jack up that side of car.use a jack stand under car for safety.there are six bolts holding the axle to the trans.you will need a number 8 starhead tool to remove these.they can be found at any auto parts store,just tell them what you are doing.use the tool to remove the bolts.drop the axle ,pull it out of the wheel hub.you may have to remove a wheel to allow room to do this,depending on which side you are replacing.reverse the procedure to install new axle.
