An education is always good to have. If you manage to become a pro it will help you understand what's in your contract. If you don't make it you'll have something to fall back on. If you get hurt, and have to quit riding, it'll also come in handy to know how to do something else.

As much education as you want! I agree; if you are good enough to go pro you really don't need a great education. I would suggest mechanics would be helpful and if you plan to become professional it would be a good idea to be able to read and understand contracts.
