No, you don't have to be skinny, but when you do gymnastics you will lose a lot of body fat with all the fat burning exercises that they do.

Well yes but it will be very painful on your body and joints and you will tire very easily. But gymnastics is a very difficult and strength requiring sport. if you keep at it you will lose the extra weight

There is no such thing as level 11 that I know of.... but How hold are you? Is it fat? That actually sounds very skinny to me. Very skinny level 11 is the start of elite gymnastics.
