No, but when the processor is slightly overheating from the built-in limit sensor, the fan automatically starts to cool the internal system down to it's normal temperature.
Why does the temperature gauge on your 2001 malibu not work and the cooling fans run all the time?
2001 VW jetta the radiator cooling fans run all the time they run soon you turn the ignition switch on with cold engine. if the engine is hot and you turn the ignition switch off the stay on till battery goes dead.
There are four relays that run the fans. Check them. In the mean time run your defogger and that should kick on the fans.
Under normal operation one fan will run until you turn on the air conditioner then both fans run.
alot of the time when the censor for the cooling fan dont work, people will hook the fans up direct.Check to see if there are wires coming from the fan to the battery.I hope that helps.Fred
engine cooling fan should not do this - bad temp sensor likely
your themostat does not control your fans your fans are controled by coolant temp sensor if they are running all the time the problem is in the coolant temp it not working and ecm is overriding it and alowing the fans to run all the time.
The cooling fans will run when there is a signal calling for them to come on. High temps will do that. Also anytime the ac is on, a fan will run. Try turning the ac off and see if one of the fans stop. Do this when the engine is cold. If the fans run anyway, check your fan relays, they may be stuck on.
No, not all computer fans run at the same speed. Fan speeds can vary based on their design, size, and intended use, as well as the cooling needs of the system they are in. Many modern fans are adjustable and can change speed dynamically based on temperature sensors, while others may run at a constant speed. Additionally, different types of fans, such as CPU fans, case fans, and GPU fans, may operate at different RPMs to optimize cooling performance.
techniqnilly no
one fan is your normal cooling fan the other is for when your a/c is on to check if it is working simply turn your a/c on and both fans should run at same time
The wiring is not correct. It needs to be checked out by someone that knows electricity.
