Besides goalies, most players prefer not to wear cups because of restriction while running and they can be uncomfortable. They are not required but it's a good idea to do so.
I strongely suggest that you where a cup. when you do get hit there you wont regret it.
Only guys wear cups, girls, well you know, they don't really need them
But chest protectors, gloves, helments and elbow pads are mandatory.
--Depends on if youre playing HS lax or club. Most HS requirements have a cup as a Mandatory piece of equipment.

∙ 13y agoNo, tennis players do not wear cups, but they probably should because the serve comes in very fast and it could really to some damage if it hit you square in the family jewels. (penis and testicles.)
